A castle above Villena, a Spanish village with homes carved into caves and cool waterfalls: a day of history, flavour and nature.

We meet at 09:00 in Torrevieja opposite the bus station, C/ Antonio Machado 137. The first stop is Atalaya Castle in the town of Villena.

Next comes a stroll through Bocairent, a village where the houses are built right into the caves. Here you can taste locally made cheeses, pâtés, liqueurs and herbal spirits, followed by lunch in Bocairent.

To finish, the Pou Clar waterfalls, tucked away in the Sierra de Mariola nature reserve. Bring your swimsuit and comfortable shoes: a path leads down to the water, and a refreshing dip feels wonderful after the descent. We are back at the meeting point at around 20:00.

At around 20:00 we are back in Torrevieja, at the same spot opposite the bus station.
