At the BERJUAN Spanish toy factory you'll see how handmade toys come to life and how the assembly line works, and you'll find out what makes Spanish toys different from any others in the world.

Next comes a stroll through a green labyrinth of trees and fountains, followed by Europe's oldest dam: the story of how people here solved the water problem, plus mountain views with a true "wild Spain" feel.

To round off the day, a private farm: a herd of mountain goats, village cheeses and the chance to feel like a mountain shepherd.

Departure from Torrevieja

At 09:00 we pick you up from your home in Torrevieja, and at 10:00 at the bus station in Alicante. We travel in a comfortable minivan.

10:30–11:00

BERJUAN Spanish toy factory

See how handmade toys are created, follow each stage of production along the assembly line and discover what makes Spanish toys so special and unique.

If the factory is closed for public holidays or staff vacation on the day of your trip, we'll visit an atmospheric museum with a collection of twentieth-century toys in the town of Ibi instead.

Wishing labyrinth

A walk through a green labyrinth where you can make a wish, take beautiful photos or simply relax in the shade of trees and fountains.

13:00

Lunch or picnic

If you like, you can order a set lunch (menu of the day) at the village restaurant Taberna del Mercat (+€14 per person) or have a picnic in the park.

15:00

Europe's oldest dam, from the 16th century

On this walk you'll learn how Spain was solving its water problem as far back as 400 years ago, why this dam was an engineering marvel of its time and how irrigation transformed the region.

Expect scenic mountain views, an easy walk and photos with a "wild Spain" vibe.

17:00

Mountain goat farm and village cheeses

Visit a private farm and its herd of mountain goats, and taste village cheeses. You can feed the goats, try your hand as a mountain shepherd and watch rural life up close.

We recommend bringing bread, carrots or broccoli for the animals.

Pickup details

At 09:00 we pick you up from your home in Torrevieja, and at 10:00 at the bus station in Alicante. In the evening we drop you back at your address, home by 20:00.

Surcharge for addresses outside Torrevieja (approximate):

  • La Mata, Punta Prima, Torreta: €10 per address (round trip)
  • La Zenia, Cabo Roig: €15
  • Campoamor, Rojales, Doña Pepa, Quesada, Villamartín: €20 per address (round trip)

Pick-up within Torrevieja is free. For addresses outside Torrevieja the surcharge is mandatory and is paid to the driver in cash when you board. We'll confirm the exact amount when you book: it depends on your address and the route.
