Is your ship in port for just a few hours? That's enough to see the best of Valencia.

The tour begins right at the Juan Carlos I Royal Marina. From there the route follows the former bed of the Turia River, now one of the largest city parks in Europe, past bridges from different eras, the Art Nouveau Colón Market and the Palace of the Marquis of Dos Aguas.

The second part is a stroll through the historic centre: the UNESCO World Heritage Silk Exchange, one of the narrowest houses in Europe and the main square where Valencia's story began.

And in the Cathedral, if you wish, you can see the Holy Grail chalice, one of the most revered relics in Christianity.

Itinerary

Juan Carlos I Royal Marina

Your introduction to Valencia begins at the modern Royal Marina. You'll learn how the port has changed over the centuries and the role it plays in city life today.

Along the former Turia riverbed

The old riverbed has become one of the largest city parks in Europe. You'll find out why the river disappeared from the city centre and see bridges from different eras, including the oldest one, dating from the fifteenth century.

As we cross the Royal Bridge, you'll hear the story of the palace that became the residence of the Spanish monarchs after the previous palace was destroyed during the war with Napoleon.

Valencia's landmarks

The Colón Market, one of the finest examples of Art Nouveau; the bullring; the lavish Palace of the Marquis of Dos Aguas, home to a ceramics museum; surviving medieval city gates; the ruins of Europe's first psychiatric hospital; and other historic monuments.

Walk through the historic centre

The famous Silk Exchange, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; a photo stop at one of the narrowest houses in Europe; and the city's main square, where Valencia's story began.

The Cathedral

The majestic cathedral is the spiritual heart of the city. If you wish, you can go inside and see the Holy Grail chalice, which the Vatican has recognised as the most likely historical relic linked to the Last Supper.
