Departure and Granada city tour

Departure from the Torrevieja bus station at 7:00.

In the morning: Granada's main squares, monuments and fountains. The story of the Reconquista, the fall of Granada in 1492 as the last stronghold of Arab civilisation, the campaigns of the Castilian knights, national heroes from the 10th to the 15th century, and Columbus's discovery of America. The tour of the key sights is done by vehicle.

Mirador de San Nicolás and the Albaicín

We ride up to the highest point in the city, the Mirador de San Nicolás, with its panorama of the Alhambra palaces and the Sierra Nevada peaks (by public transport, which is included in the price). Then we walk down into the UNESCO-listed old Albaicín quarter, with time to shop for souvenirs and have lunch (lunch is at your own expense).

The Alhambra

In the afternoon: the Alhambra, with the royal Alcazaba, the Generalife gardens and the Palace of Charles V. The Nasrid Palaces, home to the Court of the Lions, are not included in the ticket.

In your free time you can visit the Cathedral, with the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs. In the evening, hotel check-in and dinner.

Caves and Oasis MiniHollywood

Breakfast. We travel to Guadix, the town of the “first people”, where most residents live in caves dug by hand into soft limestone. A tour of the cave homes (entrance tickets included).

The Wild West in the Tabernas Desert

The Oasis MiniHollywood theme park is a film-set town where many westerns were shot, including some starring Clint Eastwood. There's a bank, a sheriff's office, a church, a jail, a gallows, a saloon, a school and even a cemetery. Enjoy a train ride and several staged shows: a “bank robbery” with actors, horseback chases and cancan in the bar.

Zoo and relaxing

A park full of savannah animals: about 800 animals of 200 species, including lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, elephants and even rhinos. If you like, there's a pool with a jacuzzi. The buffet lunch inside the park is at an extra cost.
