In Málaga you'll walk through Pablo Picasso's home turf and drop into the artist's museum. In Setenil de las Bodegas you'll see houses that grow straight out of sheer rock faces.

Ronda greets you with its New Bridge spanning a deep gorge. Gibraltar adds a British flavour, the famous Rock, wild macaques and a view of Europe and Africa at once.

We've planned every detail, so all you have to do is enjoy the moment.

Itinerary

Day 1

Málaga, birthplace of a genius

On the way we stop at a few viewpoints and a little town built into caves. In Málaga we'll see the port, the Picasso Museum, the cathedral and the Royal Alcázar, then stroll through Pablo Picasso's old neighbourhood, the cosy historic centre and the lively seafront promenade.

Free time, then check-in at the hotel and dinner in the evening.

Day 2

Two legends: Setenil and Ronda

Breakfast. In the morning we visit the living museum town of Setenil de las Bodegas, where houses grow straight out of sheer cliffs.

Ronda

In the afternoon, Ronda. The town sits 723 m above sea level, perched over the steep El Tajo gorge that splits it in two: the thirteenth-century old town and the eighteenth-century new town. They are joined by the New Bridge, built in the eighteenth century.

After free time for lunch we visit the very first and largest bullring, opened in 1785, where shows are still held today. Back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3

Gibraltar: a little Britain at the edge of Europe

In just a few minutes you step into a completely different atmosphere: English spoken all around, colonial architecture, charming lanes and sea views. It feels like being in two countries at once.

The Rock and Main Street

We go up the Rock of Gibraltar, meet the Barbary macaques (Europe's only wild monkeys), visit St Michael's Cave and take in a panorama where Europe meets Africa and the Mediterranean joins the Atlantic Ocean. Then a stroll along Main Street with its cafés and duty-free shops.

Back home at 20:00.

Good to know

  • You travel in a comfortable minivan for 6–8 people.
  • Accommodation at the 4* Hotel Restaurante La Sierra, in a double room.
  • Documents for Gibraltar. Every traveller must carry a valid passport or a national ID card from an EU country. Check Gibraltar's visa requirements in advance: if you need a visa, you must get it before the trip.
  • Free time in every town for your own discoveries.
