All of Morocco in one trip: ancient medinas, blue Chefchaouen, sunset over the dunes from the back of a camel and a night in the desert.

You'll start in Tangier, the "gateway between Africa and Europe", walk through Morocco's oldest medina in Fez with an imam, and see the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where "Gladiator" and "The Mummy" were filmed.

In the desert, tea with traditional sweets, Berber dancing and luxury haimas with private showers await. Then comes vibrant Marrakech with the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa el-Fna square, followed by Casablanca and Rabat.

Itinerary

Day 1

Torrevieja – Algeciras – Tangier – Tetouan

The coach leaves Torrevieja bus station at one in the morning. At the port of Algeciras, the ferry to Morocco is waiting for us.

Tangier

A major port city that has been called the "gateway between Africa and Europe" since Phoenician times. Tangier will charm you with its old Arab architecture: a stroll through the central streets and the famous Royal Palace. Lunch at a restaurant (included).

Tetouan

In the evening, check-in at a hotel in Tetouan (double room) and a buffet dinner.

Day 2

Tetouan – Chefchaouen – Fez

Breakfast at the hotel and a short introduction to Tetouan, a typical Arab town. We then head to Chefchaouen, known as the Blue City: we'll uncover the secret behind the name when we see its white houses washed in shades of indigo. It's one of the most visited towns in Morocco: arrival, a guided walk and lunch at a restaurant.

Fez

After lunch we set off for Fez, home to Morocco's oldest architecture. Check-in at a 4/5* hotel and a buffet dinner.

Day 3

Fez – Erfoud – the desert

A guided tour of Morocco's oldest medina with an imam, including a visit to a madrasa. A leather tannery and other workshops.

Into the desert

Lunch in Erfoud, where the group splits into 4x4 vehicles to head into the desert and meet the camels. Part of the route follows the Paris–Dakar rally track. A photo at sunset over the dunes from the back of a camel is the best way to immerse yourself in the culture of the Kingdom. Riding a camel is optional, but it's included in the tour price.

A night in the desert

Tea with traditional sweets and the folk dances of a Berber celebration. In the evening, check-in at 5* luxury desert haimas with private showers in each room.

Day 4

Erfoud – Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Ouarzazate

Breakfast at the haimas, then a jeep ride back to Erfoud to switch to the coach. A panoramic tour of gorges and valleys, with lunch at a restaurant serving local cuisine.

In the evening, check-in at a 4/5* hotel.

Day 5

Ouarzazate – Road of the Kasbahs – Marrakech

After breakfast we travel through Tizi n'Tichka and Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, old abandoned towns where many films were shot, including "The Mummy", "Alexander" and "Gladiator". Lunch at a Berber restaurant.

Marrakech

In the evening, check-in at a 4/5* hotel in Marrakech and a buffet dinner. After dinner, if you wish and for an extra charge, a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city at night with a visit to the market on Jemaa el-Fna square.

Day 6

Marrakech

The most colourful and unforgettable place in the country, steeped in the spirit of the East: gardens, palaces and minarets. One of its top sights is the Bahia Palace. After breakfast, a panoramic tour: the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque built by the Almohad dynasty and the Saadian Tombs, resting place of rulers from the 16th–17th centuries (entry to the tombs not included).

The Red City

Lunch at the hotel, then in the afternoon a walking tour of the "Red City", its medina and the market on Jemaa el-Fna square. Dinner at the hotel, followed by the optional CHEZ ALI horse show (€65 including transport, show and dancing; dinner with traditional lamb, water and wine).

Day 7

Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

After breakfast, Casablanca: a sightseeing tour of all the main landmarks and lunch at a restaurant in the city centre.

Rabat

In the afternoon, Rabat with a guide: the mausoleum, the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas. In the evening, check-in at a 4/5* hotel and a buffet dinner.

Day 8

Rabat – Tangier – Algeciras – Torrevieja

After breakfast we head to Tangier for the ferry. Lunch at a restaurant awaits us in Algeciras.

The drive back to Torrevieja, with all necessary stops along the way.

Pickup details

Departures from Torrevieja, Málaga and Marbella. The coach leaves Torrevieja bus station at one in the morning.

You can join in Morocco. If leaving from Torrevieja isn't convenient, you can fly on your own the day before to any Moroccan city that suits you and make your way to wherever the group is on the route at that point. The journey starts in Tangier, but you can also join later.

We'll help you plan ahead: we'll suggest the best city to fly into and explain the easiest way to reach us.
