Ring in the New Year in the beautiful French Pyrenees: holy sites, mountains, skiing, wineries and historic castles.

You stay all five nights in one hotel in the centre of charming Lourdes, so there's no packing up and moving every day. Historic Pau greets you with the castle where King Henry IV was born and the Boulevard des Pyrénées, with views of the whole mountain range.

Next up is a family winery in Jurançon and its celebrated white wines. Then two mountain days, your way: the slopes of Cauterets, or Pont d'Espagne and the UNESCO-protected Cirque de Gavarnie. And if you wish, San Sebastián, one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.

Itinerary

Departure from Torrevieja

We leave Torrevieja on a comfortable long-distance coach with climate control, TVs and Wi-Fi.

All five nights of the tour are spent in one hotel in the centre of Lourdes, with breakfasts and dinners.

Pau, capital of Béarn

We head to Pau, the historic capital of the Béarn region at the foot of the Pyrenees. On a guided city tour you'll explore the old town and see Pau Castle, birthplace of King Henry IV of France.

Stroll along the famous Boulevard des Pyrénées, with magnificent views of the mountain range, and soak up the atmosphere of old French streets.

Jurançon wine region

In the afternoon we travel to the renowned Jurançon wine region. Visit a family winery, discover how the region's famous white wines are made and enjoy a tasting (for adult participants).

San Sebastián or a free day

For those who wish, an optional excursion to San Sebastián (€50 per person). It's one of the most beautiful cities in northern Spain: the Old Town, Constitution Square, the Basilica of Santa María and the famous La Concha Bay.

There will be free time for walking, shopping or getting to know Basque cuisine. Everyone else has the day free.

Cauterets ski resort

We set off for Cauterets, one of the best ski resorts in the French Pyrenees. Enjoy a full day of skiing or snowboarding on the slopes of the Pyrenees National Park.

Equipment rental and lessons with an instructor are available for an extra charge.

Pont d'Espagne and Cirque de Gavarnie, or skiing

The "Pont d'Espagne and Cirque de Gavarnie" excursion takes you to the most scenic, UNESCO-protected corners of the French Pyrenees. Or enjoy a second day on the slopes.

On 1 January 2027, a late breakfast at 11:00 and hotel check-out at 12:00.
