Alicante to Saarbrücken

Breakfast and departure for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. A guided tour of the capital's historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the fortress walls, Adolphe Bridge, the Grand Ducal Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Constitution Square and the modern districts.

Optional tasting

After the tour, those who wish can enjoy a tasting of the famous Moselle wines (€15 per person): local winemaking traditions and the region's finest wines. Back to the hotel.

Breakfast and departure for Trier, Germany's oldest city, founded by the Romans more than two thousand years ago. The Porta Nigra, St Peter's Cathedral, the Main Market Square and the Imperial Baths.

Trittenheim, the heart of Moselle winemaking; Piesport, one of Germany's oldest wine towns; and Bernkastel-Kues with its half-timbered houses, cosy squares and medieval lanes. In the afternoon, transfer to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport for the flight to Alicante at 18:15, arriving in Alicante at 20:45.
